1:1 Tuition (Afternoon)

Service Description

Our daytime 1:1 tuition provides personalised learning for children who benefit from a more individual approach. Sessions may be particularly suitable for home-educated children, those accessing a reduced school timetable, or learners who currently need additional support outside of their usual classroom learning. Led by a qualified teacher with experience in specialist education and as a Cognition & Learning Lead, sessions are planned around each child’s individual starting point, strengths and learning needs. Teaching can focus on English, mathematics and wider primary curriculum skills, with the pace, resources and approach adapted to the individual learner. The 1:1 format provides time to revisit areas of difficulty, build on existing knowledge and introduce new learning at an appropriate pace. Practical activities, movement and outdoor learning can also be incorporated where these support the child’s engagement with learning. Where appropriate, learning goals can be informed by a child’s EHCP, school targets or other existing educational plans, helping tuition complement the education they are already receiving.
